Osijek-born, Pula/Rijeka-raised now-Berlin based and in constant sonic flux between various intensities. During and prior to her bachelor studies, kasja went onto immerse herself into all-thing nightlife related – from working as a door person at a club in Rijeka, event production for a festival and running her own event series aiming to highlight the frequently neglected balkan queer dance music scene, to working in the office boxes for UK festivals running at the Mediterranean coast. Raised in a household free of genre-purists but rather embraced by her eclectic father who introduced her to artists such as 50 cent & lloyd banks, björk, manu chao, sufjan stevens, tracy chapman, R.E.M., chemical brothers, missy elliott and sade adu, to name a few – ridiculously diverse, but heavily influenced by. Kasja started off to curate vast playlists for university-led parties ultimately leading to getting booked at the first club where she was working at the time and polished her technical skills by improvising on various faulty equipment during-all nighters as a resident. Moving to berlin and starting to work at a music communication agency as a music consultant and press officer gave a much needed insight into the actual works of a music industry – which also provided more room for growth as an industry professional wearing many hats. There‘s no such thing as doing just one thing; she went onto become a part of birthing a queer balkan collective in berlin; Merak which is set to host its first events in early-2025 as well as joining the start of a new club-forward label mnjm (manjam) with two friends and founders – set to amplify artists that do not come from the artistically oversaturated west. She went onto play venues/festivals/events such as; Panorama Festival, Velvet Festival, at 90mil, AKC Attack w/ CCL headlining, guesting frequently on radio stations such as Refuge WW, THF and transgression.fm a radio station where she holds a monthly residency. The sets are percussive, bassy, sometimes deconstructed, always oddball.
