Elayn

Elayn

Elayn (he/him) is an Aleppo-born, Berlin-based producer and DJ. He weaves his talents into a rich tapestry of creativity. Trained as an architect, he crafts sets that reflect his keen attention to detail, creating multilayered collages that spatially unravel on the dancefloor. Sonically, Elayn produces versatile sets that venture into techno, off-kilter rhythms, and dense timbres.

In 2024, he co-founded the label mnjm. (mnjm is a label and event series platform highlighting emerging and established artists from the diaspora and beyond). From 2021 to 2024, he was part of C1, a collective of Syrian diaspora artists who organized the event series ASFÃR in Berlin, produced the short documentary/art film To Build A Stage—funded by the Berlin Senate—and hosted a Boiler Room night at Trauma Bar in Berlin.

His musical journey began with the oud at the age of 14 in Aleppo. After arriving in Berlin in 2015, he discovered electronic music. Now, he seeks to unite these different elements as part of his sonic palette, releasing his two records, Enhiar and Shatat, and contributing to VA albums on various labels, such as UMAY.
